Tips on How to Enjoy your wine this season.

Christmas is around the corner and as usual, you will be having guest tripping in and out of your house, so I decided to write this blog, just on time, to help give you some few pointers on how well you and your guest can enjoy your wine.

While travelling, here are some tips on how best you can enjoy wine on flight.

So here they are.

  • First, make sure your wines are stored properly, click on this link to read about our 5 do’s and donts of wine storage
  • If you have a guest over and unfortunately, don’t have a cold wine in the fridge, you can quickly get it chilled by wrapping it in a wet towel and then put it in the freezer to cool for 15 mins. Its works like magic, thanks to the wet towels.
  • Another tip to get your wine to cool faster is by putting it in a bucket of ice and salt. The salt will lower the freezing point of the ice and cause the bottles temperature to lower.
  • In place of ice cubes, so as not to water down you wine, use frozen grapes, it helps to always have them in your freezer, this method works great especially for white wines.
  • You can also upgrade your dry wine, yeah, in case you have a bottle of dry red wine and you don’t like the taste, please upgrade to Kalimotxo, mix it up with a bottle of coke, its taste much better.
  • Don’t forget to allow your wine to breathe before drinking, swirl your glass of wine properly to allow aeration.
  • You can read our wine pouring tips to know how to serve your guest better.
  • Our post on wine etiquette also comes in handy
  • Serving Wine is one thing, but pairing your wine with the right meal brings out the best taste in your wine
  • And if you are tired of the usual every day wine, you can try our other wine recipes like
  •  For your left overs, pour them in an ice stray, and put in the freezer, its an awesome way to store your left over wine, which in turn, can help chill your wine the next time you’re drinking.
