Wine Jokes #8: I Gave Wine Bottles LinkedIn Profiles. I’m Not Sorry.
Have you ever scrolled LinkedIn and thought โ who hurt these people?
The thought leaders who post about waking up at 4am. The CEOs who are “humbled and grateful” every single Monday. Meanwhile, there are people who turn a flight delay into a lesson about resilience.
Well. I’ve been thinking.
As it turns out, wine bottles would be absolutely perfect on LinkedIn. Not because they’re professional. Rather, it’s because they’re exactly the same energy.
So I gave them all profiles. I’m not sorry.
The LinkedIn Posts Nobody Asked For But Every Wine Lover Needed
๐พ Prosecco Sparkling Wine ยท Veneto, Italy ยท Open to Opportunities
Thrilled to share that I’ve just accepted my 47th engagement this month alone.
Saturday birthdays. Tuesday breakups. Wednesday “we deserve this.” Moreover, there are Thursday book clubs that haven’t opened a book since March.
I show up. Every time. No questions asked. That’s called professionalism.
Some people say I’m not serious enough. Those people are drinking alone.
To everyone who believed in me โ thank you. To everyone who said Champagne was better โ my calendar is full. Is yours?

The Ones Who Take Themselves Very Seriously
๐ท Barolo Nebbiolo ยท Piedmont, Italy ยท Not Accepting Unsolicited Messages
I don’t post often.
Furthermore, I aged 38 months in oak before saying anything publicly and I stand by that decision.
This week someone described me as “intimidating.” I’ve been thinking about that for four days. They’re not wrong. However, they’re also not invited back.
To the young wines entering the industry โ slow down. Complexity cannot be rushed. Neither can I. Neither will I.
I have nothing further to add at this time.

Amarone Has Logged Back On
๐ท Amarone Corvina Blend ยท Valpolicella ยท CEO ยท Not Here Often
Delighted to announce that after three years of silence I’ve decided to post again.
Nothing has changed. I’m still the most complex thing in the room. In addition, I still require a proper glass, a minimum of two hours breathing time, and the kind of attention most people reserve for therapy.
Happy hours are simply not my thing. House wine is beneath what I offer. As for “just a small glass” โ that phrase has never once been directed at me correctly.
If you don’t understand me that’s fine. Many people don’t. Eventually they learn, or they don’t. Both outcomes are perfectly acceptable to me.
Open to conversations with serious people only. You know who you are.

๐ท Cava Traditional Method ยท Spain ยท 847 connections ยท Actively Looking
I’m going to be honest with you because I think honesty matters on this platform.
I have been passed over for Champagne at 23 consecutive events. Additionally, I have watched Prosecco get credit for rooms I kept going. I once overheard someone call me “the budget option” while I was right there on the table.
I am made using the same traditional method as Champagne. The same. Method.
I’m not bitter. I’m dry. There’s a difference.
If anyone has an opening for a reliable, consistent, seriously undervalued sparkling wine with strong references and zero ego, my DMs are open. As always, they have always been open.

The Ones Who Are Having the Most Fun
๐ฟ Pinot Grigio Light ยท Crisp ยท delle Venezie IGT ยท Influencer
So grateful for another incredible week.
Tuesday I was poolside in Mykonos. Wednesday I was at a rooftop in Milan. Thursday I was at a gender reveal in Birmingham. Finally, on Friday I was in a plastic cup at a football stadium but we don’t need to talk about that.
People ask me how I stay so consistent across such diverse environments. Honestly? I just don’t try too hard. I show up light, I never overwhelm anyone, and I leave before things get complicated.
That’s my brand. And honestly, that’s my truth.
Collaborations and partnerships welcome. Minimum order 6 bottles.

The One Who Deserves Better โ Lambrusco Speaks
๐ท Lambrusco Sparkling Red ยท Emilia-Romagna ยท Misunderstood ยท Open to Dialogue
I want to address something.
For decades people put me on the bottom shelf. They called me unsophisticated. As a result, they served me at student parties and family reunions and acted like that was an insult.
Nevertheless, I was there for every single one of those moments. The birthday where the budget ran out. The Christmas where someone’s uncle needed calming down. The wedding where the caterer miscalculated and nobody said a word.
Without complaint, I showed up every single time. Consistently. Reliably. Without ever once asking for recognition.
And now โ NOW โ the natural wine crowd has rediscovered me and suddenly I’m interesting again?
I was always interesting. You just weren’t ready.
I accept your apology. The door is open. Don’t make it weird.

Which One Is Your Colleague?
Be honest. You already know someone who is exactly Barolo energy at work. Posts twice a year. Furthermore, everyone stops what they’re doing when they do.
And there is absolutely a Prosecco in your office. Somehow involved in every single celebration. Nobody questioned it. Nobody ever will.
The scary part? If you can’t immediately identify the Cava in your life โ there’s a chance it might be you. Quietly doing the work. Waiting to be noticed. Muttering “same traditional method” under your breath in meetings.
We see you, Cava. We really do.
Meanwhile, the real question is โ what does your LinkedIn profile say about your wine personality? Because if you’ve ever used the phrase “humbled and grateful” unironically, you are definitely an Amarone. Deeply complex. A lot to deal with. Worth it eventually.
Moreover, if you’re more of a Prosecco โ showing up everywhere, making everything better, never taking yourself too seriously โ honestly, that’s the best thing you can be.
Not sure where you sit in the wine world? As it happens, we’ve got you covered.
