Celebrities who owns wineries – Donald Trump

Oh Yes, The 45th and Former President of the United States of America, Donald Trump has a winery, it is situated on Trump Vineyard, a 1,300-acre estate located in the Piedmont region of the Commonwealth of Virginia, in the county of Albemarle, which he purchased in April 2011, including the 23,000-square-foot mansion with 45 rooms, a private chapel, and English gardens for $6.7 million.

Since 2012, it has been owned and operated by Trump’s son Eric, under the name Eric Trump Wine Manufacturing LLC .

Trump winery itself has put some distance between its operations and the Ex President, Trump Organization or any of their affiliates, this disclaimer is stated on the Trump winery website. It answered the question as to why none of the bottles from the winery, made the list of wines on the menu, that was served on Donald Trump’s Inauguration into the White House, on the 27th of January 2017.

Trump reminded journalists of the winery he acquired in 2011 when asked if he intended to visit Charlottesville, Virginia following the deadly violence that erupted around a white supremacist rally and counter-demonstration on August 11th 2017.

According to transcripts of the press conference, Trump said, ‘I own a house in Charlottesville. Does anyone know I own a house in Charlottesville?

‘It is the winery.’

He added, ‘I own actually one of the largest wineries in the United States. It’s in Charlottesville.’

It is debatable as to whether Trump winery could count as one of the largest in the US. Its annual production has been estimated at around 36,000 cases of wine per year, which is equivalent to 432,000 bottles, On this account, it makes his statement an exaggeration, the Old Dominion state’s top producers are Chateau Morrisette and Williamsburg Winery, which each churn out about 60,000 cases a year while E & J Gallo of California has long dominated as the country’s top wine producer, making over 75 million cases per year.

Its facilities are used to host various wine events, as well as weddings and corporate events, Its Tasting Room receives a lot of visitors daily and charges between $12 – $30/person or $200/group of 12 persons.
